I have some new pieces I'm working on. Very excited about it. The only problem is finding, or rather, carving out time to get it all done. Being a mom, and a mom that works full time, with a husband that is off travelling the world for his job, doesn't make it very easy to carve out that time. I wish quitting my job could be as easy as it sounds.
The new work will involve large pieces, black and white, embroidery, with splashes of colour.
Hopefully this weekend will prove fruitful. I haven't touched paint in a week and it's starting to make me feel quite miserable. I need to get back into my work, otherwise, I may just go stir crazy. Funny how creating instantly calmes my nerves.
I'll leave you with this wonderful short little clip from artist, David Leffel, on making brush strokes, and 'thinking like a painter.' :)
